Human Resources/Administrative Manager

[Location - Huntsville, Alabama]


Position Summary

Aevum is seeking a human resources/administrative manager to manage the human resources department and administrative operations of the Huntsville facility. As the human resources/administrative manager, you will run the human resources department and support administration of the company in Huntsville.

The human resources/administrative manager is expected to be highly professional and serve as an accurate, first impression of the company to candidates, customers, VIP's, and business guests. In this position, the candidate will also be in charge of maintaining and creating a productive and enjoyable work environment while supporting the leadership team to help run Aevum's space logistics services.


  • Serve as primary contact for the organization to assist employees with people and team
  • Recruit top talent and achieve hiring goals
  • Provide a superb and high quality experience for every candidate from application stage to offer
  • Evaluate skill level, drive the interview process, and offer process, including reference checks, salary recommendations and closing candidates
  • Negotiate offers to onboard candidates
  • Communicate effectively with the interview team and make sure that the interviewers are prepared
  • Communicate information with all levels of leadership
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings
  • Manage multiple calendars
  • Organize fun internal events for the team and occasionally recommend offsite activities
  • Prepare expense reports and purchase requisitions
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements
  • Organize space planning and events
  • General office duties
  • Participate on committees and special projects and seek additional responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a human resource information system that meets personnel information needs
  • Recommend, evalutate, and participate in staff development
  • Work with leadership to assist them in carrying out their responsibilties on personnel matters
  • Coordinate and conduct exit interviews
  • Communicate and assist in changes in the company's personnel policies and procedures and enforce them
  • Maintain responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all HR matters
  • Maintain knowledge of aerospace industry trends related to HR

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, communications, or other related field or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in human resources at a tech or engineering company
  • Experience prioritizing multiple projects
  • Experience with Microsoft office or Google products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive previous experience in human resources or administration at private space companies
  • Experience competing for top technical talent
